On today’s episode I continue walking through the book Lex Rex, by Samuel Rutherford. Lex Rex simply means that the law is king. It is a book that very simply and logically looks at the nature and purpose of government. It also addresses issues such as civil disobedience and resistance, ideas that greatly influenced the American War for Independence. On this episode I look at chapters ten and eleven regarding whether or not lesser magistrates have their own legitimate authority and if the people are more important than the state.
