On today’s episode I continue walking through the book Lex Rex, by Samuel Rutherford. In chapter fourteen, we look at whether the safety of the ruler is more important than that of the people. In chapter fifteen, we consider whether the ruler is above the law. These are both key issues, for if the ruler is more important than the people, than the people can be sacrificed for the good of the ruler. And if the ruler is above the law, then the ruler plays the part of God.
