S2E6 – Idolatry and Civil Disobedience, Part 3

Part 1: Law of the Day (Deuteronomy 7:17-26) – “…You shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them or take it for yourselves, lest you be ensnared by it, for it is an abomination to the LORD your God. And you shall not bring an abominable thing into your house and become devoted to destruction like it. You shall utterly detest and abhor it, for it is devoted to destruction.”

Part 2: Today I continue with the series on idolatry and civil disobedience. In this episode, I look at the persecution of Christians in the Roman Empire. I consider why the Christians were persecuted, how it was implemented, and how they responded. Lastly, I discuss the martyrdom of Cyprian, a Christian leader from North Africa.

As always, if you have any civic/government related questions, feel free to email me at [email protected], and I will be happy to address them on the program. Thank you and God bless!
