Does God Change His Mind?

Does God Change His Mind?
Sometimes we are challenged with the argument, Did God change his mind? Now, where do we get this from? Well, this comes from Genesis 6:5-7.

5 bThe Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every cintention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And dthe Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it egrieved him to his heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.”

We see here that people will try to say, God did not know what man was going to do somehow. As if He is not omniscient, and He regrets what He did because He made man and man’s evil and therefore, God did not know the future. In other words, they try to argue God is not all-knowing. He is not omniscient.

However, the fact that God speaks to man at a point when man does evil, and He says He regrets having made man is not the fact that He did not know what man would do, but the fact that He regrets what man has done. People sometimes get the focus wrong. God still knows everything.
