What Does it Mean that the Bible is Inspired?
What does it mean that the Bible is inspired? Inspiration identifies that supernatural work of the Holy Spirit in which he superintended, which means he controlled and directed the reception, it means to the writers and communication, that means to the hears and the writing, of the divine message, such that the product in the original writings is verbally and plenary, that means completely, both inerrant and authoritative, that means without error and an authority. The Holy Spirit superintended the human authors such that though their individual personalities and different styles in writing. Or can be seen. This was all the writings of God. In other words, this is God’s very word, the clearest texts that we can have to see.
This would be in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, where it says, “all scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for proof, for correction, for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work”. We’ll dive into this verse more the next time we speak.
