Who is God?
Well, that’s a very interesting question. Sometimes people will ask, well, even Moses asked it, We see this in Exodus chapter three, When Moses was being told to go back to Israel in the account with the burning bush, he knows of the fake gods of Egypt. But Moses said to God, in verse 13, of Exodus three,
13Â Then Moses said to God, âIf I come to the people of Israel and say to them, âThe God of your fathers has sent me to you,â and they ask me, âWhat is his name?â what shall I say to them?â 14Â God said to Moses, âI am who I am.â
And that is really an attribute of God that we see him explaining there, that God is self-existent. The fact that we end up seeing here is that when we look at God and He says, “I am” that is what He calls Himself, He is referring to the fact that He is a self-existent being, that He had no beginning and no end. That is an essential part of who God is. We know God is a triune God, He is three Persons; Father, Son, and Spirit, but all those Persons are one Being; God. The fact that He has no beginning and no end is important to know who God is.
