Eternal Security, What We Believe, Part 33

Rapp Report episode 259

Does the Christian have eternal security?  Can Christians lose their salvation? This is a question often debated within Christianity. This episode addresses the doctrine of the security of salvation.

This is the section of the Striving for Eternity doctrinal statement that is addressed:

All the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever (John 5:246:37-4010:27-30Romans 5:9-108:131-391 Corinthians 1:4-8Ephesians 4:30Hebrews 7:2513:51 Peter 1:5Jude 24). It is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God’s Word, which, however, clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion for sinful living and carnality (Romans 6:15-2213:13-14Galatians 5:1325-26Titus 2:11-14).
