John Wesley lived in the 1700s and was an influential leader of the First Great Awakening. He and George Whitefield founded the Methodist movement together after their time at Oxford. But the two had a theological rift that nearly destroyed their ministry.

His sermon, “The funeral of George Whitefield,” shows the end of that feud. Wesley gives personal insights into the life and character of George Whitefield and through it we can learn how to be followers that are faithful.
