Pope Gregory The Great was called "one of the last church fathers." He lived in Rome after the fall of the Roman Empire and was also responsible for launching a giant missionary movement into England that eventually led to its Christianization.
This sermon, “The Mystery Of The Resurrection,” is a sermon he gave without prepared notes. He opened it up as an attempt to catch the excitement and interest of his listeners and to impress on them the importance of the resurrection.
Special thanks to Jonathan Thiede for preaching this sermon. Also, special thanks to Ben Yost for helping edit this sermon.
