What Can We Learn from Hypocrites?

This is episode 1 of season 2. I thought I would dive right into the Gospel of Matthew to see if we can learn something from Matthew Chapter 23, where Jesus confronted the scribes and the pharisees who were the hypocrites of His day. I wanted to see if can learn something from hypocrites, hence the title of today’s episode. What can we learn from hypocrites?

“Hypocrite” comes from the Greek “hupokrites (hoop-ok-ree-tace’) which means acting under an assumed character, ex. a stage player (Strong’s)

A true hypocrite is a person who is pretending to be something he or she is not, and of course has no intention of becoming. Here is a question, do we have in the Church today people or preacher being stage actors, pretending to be something they are not.
