Motivation Monday #4 – New Beginnings

New beginnings are great and exiting. But what happens when that excitement dies down? We become accustomed to the norm or our daily task become mundane and repetitive. What about God’s unmerited Grace He freely gives? What about His mercies? Are they not new every morning? As believers, we can not forget that God’s mercies are new every morning. That should be motivation to carry us through for weeks on out!

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24)

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland” (Isaiah 43:18-19)

“He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him” (Psalm 40:3)

“See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind” (Isaiah 65:17)
