No Different Gospel – Galatians 1:1-9

It seems very fitting to begin preaching through a book that was so important to Martin Luther and the reformation on October 31st – Reformation day!

Martin Luther referred to Galatians as “my epistle.” Galatians was very influential in the shaping of the reformation.

In Galatians, Paul pulls no punches in confronting the Church and calling out the false teachers, and exposing their false teachings. In this epistle, Paul proclaims powerfully the doctrine of justification by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

The book of Galatians provides us a picture of Paul’s passionate zeal for the gospel and his intolerance for any corruptions of its message.
