Asking, Seeking, Knocking – Matthew 7:7-11

Notice that in Christ’s ministry His disciples asked Him to teach them to pray – not how to preach, not how to study, not how to minister, not how to heal or work miracles – but how to pray.

Ask as a beggar seeking alms, a child in distress, a condemned criminal seeking mercy, as one who sees and hears through eyes and ears that had never seen or heard before, as a new and glorious creature brought from death in sin to life in Christ, as a dearest friend.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. – Matthew 7:7
