The Narrow Way – Matthew 7:13,14

This is a portion of the Sermon On the Mount – one of my favorite portions of scripture. It sounds far-fetched, but if you consider all that Jesus teaches and commands in the Sermon On the Mount, and imagine it being carried out through all of humanity, you may begin to see the problems of the world could be solved through what Jesus teaches in this one amazing and profound sermon.

Discernment in the way we live and interact with others narrows our focus, our choices, and our actions. The longer we walk with Christ, the narrower the path becomes. The longer we walk with Christ, the fewer will walk along with us.

Matthew 7:13,14, “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”
