This episode is part 36 in a series going through the story of the Book of Mormon. This episode covers chapters 11 of the book of 3 Nephi. The surviving righteous people gather outside a temple in the land Bountiful and recollect their recent experiences. Suddenly, a voice from heaven says something twice but they don’t understand it. The third time a voice says something that sounds like God the Father at Jesus’ baptism. Then, Jesus in a white garment descends from the sky and lands among the people. Jesus tells the people who he is and invites them to feel the wounds in his resurrected body. Then, he teaches them the correct form of baptism so that there would be no disputations among his followers. Let’s see what the Jesus of the Book of Mormon says that sounds similar to verses in the New Testament and what sounds like intentional edits.
